Rain will be with us this Monday with most of the rain in the morning hours. The rain will be a cold rain and chilly temperatures in the lower to mid 50s as we start the day. Take an umbrella or rain jacket heading out!
A Halloween storm is brewing for much of the eastern half of the U.S. An area of low pressure will bring rain out of the Pacific Northwest and into the heartland on Tuesday and make its way east throughout the week, dampening early Halloween festivities and potentially soaking trick-or-treaters in parts of the Northeast on the night of Halloween.
Saturday, before 4 p.m. - Calm, dry Saturday, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. - Scattered showers arrive west of the Mississippi River and in parts of North Mississippi Saturday, 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. - Showers and storms gradually overtake Memphis and the Mid-South Sat.
The potential for additional flooding rains today has led to the designation of today as Severe Weather Warning Day. While FutureCast predicts 2-3 inches of rain in some areas today, the ground is already saturated. Beyond today, a few cold fronts are expected to bring cooler weather later in the week, with sunshine returning starting tomorrow.

City, county crews prepare for expected heavy rain and possible street flooding across Houston area
The City of Houston’s Office of Emergency Management told KHOU 11 that Houston Public Works crews are staging barricades at 49 flood-prone locations across the city. At Memorial Drive and Waugh Drive, barricades are already in place in case they are needed.
