Walmart removes 108-year-old iconic product from shelves as shoppers fume
After more than a century of loyal fans and sweet success, Cherry Mash has been removed from Walmart, sparking outrage and concern for the small-town candy maker from customers.
Candy sold at Walmart, Target and others are being recalled due to potential salmonella contamination. Palmer Candy Company of Iowa originally issued a recall of their white-coated products on May 6.
