🦇 LEISLER BAT 🦇 Recently, a less common species of bat came into our care here at Secret World Wildlife Rescue—a Leisler’s bat! Leisler’s bats are distinctive with their rounded ears, mushroom-shaped tragus (a piece of skin in front of the ear canal) , and forearms measuring no longer than 47mm. They're also known for their impressively loud echolocation calls, with a frequency of 24-28kHz. 📣 This bat was found trapped in someone’s bedroom, unharmed.
