The New York City subway system experienced its worst summer since 2018, according to recent data from the MTA. Riders on the F, E, N, 1, and 7 lines experienced significant delays, and overall waiting times reached a five-year high. An aging infrastructure, specifically the electrical and signal systems, was listed as the primary cause of delays which led to a record number of incidents in July. An MTA spokesperson attributed some of the dramatic increase in "major incidents" to a change in rep
