On a recent trip to Buru Island, Indonesia, a WWF team member caught this rare footage of a leatherback turtle nesting on the beach, covering her recently laid eggs. Pacific leatherback sea turtles are an iconic but critically endangered species. They travel huge distances between their nesting grounds in Indonesia and their foraging grounds off the west coast of the US. Unfortunately, they face multiple threats, from egg harvesting to live poaching to accidental capture in fishing gear. And env
